I gave 4 stars because of the plastic anchors that just ended up putting gaping hole in my wall (thus the patch I now need to sand and paint). This is a nice curtain rod. The rod itself is metal with a faux wood stain. The end caps are of high quality. It’s packaged very nicely and securely. It took me a few minutes to understand the pictures to put it together. The rod come in two pieces. Intuitively I thought Is just combine the two ends together to make the longer rod. Nope. They have to go by design. So the larger or wider end comes apart and you can use it to link the two narrower ends together for a longer rod. Once i got that the rod was together in no time..
