These tiles are gorgeous! (Made in Spain, btw - I couldn't find that anywhere in the listing.) The light plays off them delightfully. We bought a sample tile and wondered if it would be wavy enough (didn't seem to be when you just have the one sitting on a table), but on the wall, they are perfect. As an aside, the two star reviews are unfair given that they are not about the tile itself but rather the quantity in a box. I don't know what the listing said back in 2023 when they placed the order, but I find it hard to believe anyone would reasonably think they would get 15 sq ft of premium tile for $47/box.. Chris. We were Inspired by Guastavino's exquisite tile arch when we create our Guastavino tile Collection; Guastavino was a Spanish architect and builder. Based on the Catalan vaults he created the Guastavino tile, a "Tile Arch System" patented in the United States in 1885 and used for constructing robust, self-supporting arches and architectural vaults using interlocking terracotta tiles and layers of mortar. Guastavino tile is found in some of New York's most prominent Beaux-Arts landmarks and in major buildings across the United States. It is used in a huge number of architecturally important and famous buildings with vaulted spaces. Guastavino was not the principal architect for most of the projects.

I used the Liv green glossy subway tile in my kitchen backsplash and it turned out really nice.
