The darkest shade would pick up browns or dark greys or even black if those shades are in your space and you want to match well. Regardless, I liked it and the price so much that I bought two. That little old lady (dog) in the photo is 18 and sometimes can't make it to her doggy door fast enough. Accidents. I would give this a 5 for beauty as it is a really pretty rug. It loses a star for a couple of reasons 1) it came with a run in it. It's not noticeable enough for me to try to return it but it begs the question of the long term quality/durability of this rug and 2) I cannot get the wrinkles out of it. Have been putting heavy objects on it for days and they won't come out. I'll keep trying. I do really like the rug - it's out of the comfort zone for me typically but I wanted a bolder look.
