luv the versatility of this unit and the ability to add more sections down the road. also love the simple but elegant design, my only dislike was the fact that brown is no longer available, also the instructions indicate that you would need to screw the top shelving unit into the basedrawers. I dislike, putting wood screw holes in the base. They should of designed it where instead of using wood screws, you could use machine screws to take it apart without damaging the wood.. William. No issues with the assembly - instruction booklet was detailed, all of the parts were separated into labeled bags so it was easy to put together. Took my teenage daughter and I about two hours, but it was her first time putting together furniture, and she was very meticulous (she loved legos as a kid so this was the perfect adult-ish project for her)! It’s helpful to have a regular screwdriver and an electric screwdriver, as a few of the screws were a bit long. Overall very happy w this 3-piece bookcase, assembly definitely needs two people, there is a challenge with the way some of the pieces are labeled. The only thing we were a little disappointed in was the LED lights. They look a little garish and the color options don’t include true white color or warm white color, which is what we prefer and the picture on the advertisement shows a white color lighting. Their options include blue and red and a weird pinkish color. If we had purchased for a front room or living room, we would have to replace the lighting. We saw this stunning Fluted Arched Bookcase and we had to have it. The main reason I chose this particular one is because it also has the enclosed storage cabinet at the bottom. I couldn’t believe how easy it was to assemble. The pieces and hardware were marked and labeled so you could follow along in the assembly instructions. It is a nice very stable.
