I didnt have a fireplace in my home and have always had one. I love how this looks and it puts out enough heat that its actually saved me on my heating bill this winter versus last winter. The only cautionary thing I will say is I guess I didnt read the description very well and I thought the top was some kind of marble but its wood that looks like marble however its tastefully done. Arrived quicker than anticipated and comes in two boxes. One holds the pieces to the fireplace and mantle, the other the firebox. Assembly is definitely a two person job. We had several issues and this took the better part of an afternoon despite the problems. We received one panel that was missing two cam bolt inserts. Luckily we have a fantastic locally owned hardware store that was able to manufacture pieces that would work. Otherwise, this entire piece would have had to have been sent back. We were thankful the manufacturer included extra hardware as we had one cam lock break during installation. We do have one obvious gap in the marble tiles that we believe can be fixed with a little caulk. The fire place has several different color settings and somehow does look like a legitimate flame. The addition of the crystals gives the appearance of a high end gas fireplace. The heater works well, is akin to a blower on a fireplace and helps with the true fireplace feel. I highly recommend this fireplace! I looked quite awhile before ordering this for our master bedroom. My husband was able to put the fireplace together in a couple of hours. All the pieces were labeled and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The are three different flame colors and they are beautiful! The remote also works well. It’s actually STUNNING. I shopped around for about a month to try and find the perfect electric fireplace to put in our front room. I wanted it to be sleek and modern, but have some character and charm well also functional and not looking or sounding like a cheap electric fireplace. I wanted something that elevated our space but was also functional. This does absolutely that. I put it together myself and I’m two months postpartum just to give some context so it was relatively easy and a one person job. I just took my time and made sure to line everything up and follow the directions. It’s heavy but movable. It works like a charm and has a ton of different heat functions and light functions in a timer which I love. The only thing I’m not obsessed with is the crackle sound. I thought it would sound a little bit more realistic, so I don’t think I’ll be using that but it’s fine. It elevated the space so perfectly. I was hesitant about spending this much on an electric fireplace, but I think that going with the higher quality one  over any others that I found or trying to save on price was the right thing to do. Ambient lighting, multiple color choices and intensity. Does not sit high off the ground, so big tv or mounted bracket if used as advertised. I had a terrible delivery, it comes in one box that weighs maybe 80lbs, and they dropped it at my neighbors house. So some assembly required. Instructions can be a little vague, not too difficult, but did take me a couple hours. The 55” W Electric Fireplace is beautiful. It is ornate and very detailed. I have put it in my master bedroom which has no architectural elements except for 5 panel doors and medallion trim over the windows. This fireplace is a real statement piece. It has at least 22 pieces to put together but all the pieces fit perfectly and the instructions were adequate. My husband did it by himself. I ordered white and it is white.
