It’s definitely very unusual light fixture. I wasn’t sure. I liked it when we put it on, but my husband and electrician absolutely love it. So we’re keeping it and I’m getting used to it. It’s not your normal, elegant light fixture. I would say it’s a little bulky, but again it’s could be just me. All the guys are absolutely love it. The only important thing I would like to mention that is the every single light poll has a protective film on it, which is attached really really strong. And we didn’t remove it before we hand it on. I wasn't sure if the pendants would provide the lighting needed but decided to give them a try. The quality and design for the price are good. They were easy to install where there already was wiring for pendants and took about 20 minutes. The 2nd picture shows the ring for adjusting the length. The 3rd picture is how they are packaged in the box which was surprising as the box was smaller than I expected. The instructions are adequate. Since 3 came to the set, 2 were hung in the kitchen and the 3rd is in the foyer. The amount of light they provide, especially at night is perfect for the kitchen and even provides some light to an adjacent room. This is s gorgeous light fixture, but unfortunately it arrived damaged. the metal box base of the light was smashed in on one corner. It's actually pretty thin metal, so I was able to bend it back into pretty decent shape, and it's not very noticeable since it's so high on the ceiling. That was a frustrating start to opening it. Installation was challenging, and should have been better explained, and easier to do, but the light does look nice now that it's up. Overall, for the price, I expected the quality to feel higher end, and for the piece to be in top shape, but that wasn't the case.
