The arm frame is definitely wide enough to set coasters and a drink. It's was super easy to put together. Comes with everything you need to dyi. These chairs are very comfortable which is a result of nice cushions and more than simple plastic slats for the seat bottom. The interwoven rope design makes it more comfortable and attractive.
