This is a simple, really cute lamp! It took me less than 15 minutes to install. If the Shade werent so pathetic in terms of assembly. Then the lamp would not be that bad to be honest. Since thr shade is unfolded It will with plastic be lumpy or dimpled. I love this lamp. I had one that I have had for serval years that was in my home office. I wanted to move this into my bedroom next to our nightstands, once I did so I knew this was exactly the look I was wanting in there. Then I tried to reorder the original one and alas it was out of stock and remained so for the past several months. I was only finding versions that were at least $1k in price and out of my budget. Then, hurray, this lamp popped up in my most recent search. It is identical to my existing one. So well made all of metal with a nice heavy metal base. This is a beautiful lamp but had to get a replacement as the first lamp received appeared to be a return and was damaged. Customer service was absolutely THE BEST and I received a new replacement lamp that I am, for the most part, very pleased with. Be very careful taking hinged lamp outs of the styrofoam packing as the two lamps can swing down and hit the metal - might be better to use 2 people to unpack as we did (the adjustment screws are not tightened down in the styrofoam packing). The only reason for the 4 star review is that even on the replacement lamp, the screws that tighten down the lamp position don't want to stay in position and I don't want to tighten too much because it can strip the screws. This lamp is surprising well made for the low price of $47. Easy to put together. I had to fiddle a bit with the attaching the last rod but was finally able to get the screw lined up correctly. All the pieces fit together snuggly so that the long rod looks like one piece. It should be noted that each short rod end has a protection ring that must be removed before you screw the rods together. The instructions fail to mention this.
