This unit allows wood framing and can be installed without a surround, finishing material installed right up to the glass for a simplified modern look, or with the durable 3” stainless steel surround. The unit even comes with a stainless steel cover for protection when not in use. Tahoe 45ol comes with a rock and Black Onyx fire glass media, and a stainless steel frame.

I’m a big fan of this electric fireplace. I chose not to have it recessed or installed flush into the wall, and honestly, I’m still really happy with how it looks. Once it was mounted and I styled the area around it with my mantel and decor, the fact that it isn’t recessed really doesn’t stand out. It still gives the room a very finished, polished look and adds a lot of warmth and ambiance to the space. I like that I was able to get the fireplace effect I wanted without doing a more permanent recessed installation. I ordered the 50in linear electric fireplace for my bedroom and I love it. This is the second electric fireplace I have gotten and the other one I got was by a different brand and while I really like it, I like this one even more for its very subtle controls. I had to really zoom in so you can see them. From standing height you cannot see the switch and you cannot see the blacked out controls on the face of the fireplace. Im very happy with the fireplace, it looks perfect in our living room. My husband is extremely handy but it took him several hours to assemble.
