Not sure why they don’t have you attach the piece with inside connects (top to sides) first and the bottom with outside connections last instead but I’d recommend trying that first.. Anonymous. Our dog is only in her crate occasionally but due to some behavioral issues (shes a rescue with a terrible past) we will need a crate available, so I wanted something that looked like a piece of furniture. My husband and I spent just about over an hour putting it together. Overall I am very pleased and would recommend it. My -1 star is for when you pull the corner protectors off, be careful! Package arrived quickly and well packed. Many pieces. Nothing broke or chipped. Took me at least 2 - 3 hours to put together by myself. Overall a great sturdy quality piece. Only con is the locks seems flimsy, but they do their job. I read some reviews and took a suggestion to order a 34 x 22 rubber sink mat with lip in case there were any accidents. I have a Golden retriever and a King Charles cavalier and they both fit well. The product also looks good in my living room. Love that there are drawers to store additional doggie items. This is a very pretty alternative to the traditional metal dog crate. It arrived in perfect condition (no chipped corners or dings, that others mentioned) and my husband had it together in less than an hour. It does have a yellowish tinge to it(not as white as the photos suggest), but we were ok with it. Our 50lb hound/shepherd mix puppy has ample space to stand and stretch out. I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because, I think with a little time and boredom, she would easily be able to chew or dig her way out of this. We are using it only as a sleeping crate in our bedroom, so I am not worried about that. But I wouldn't put her in this and then leave the house.
