I've been looking for a simple, open chair for a long time on my sites. This one went on sale so I thought I would try it. The wood is matte finish and a good tone so that was a plus. The color is very neutral. Not white. Not beige. Oatmeal would be closest. Very well constructed with good instructions and hardware. Be aware that it is very firm and will not hit everyone the same in the back. Not a chair to sit in for a long time with a book or lengthy conversation. These things ROCK! They are a deep emerald green and took about 3 minutes each to build. I'm not kidding, just screw the metal slides onto the chair's parts and then slide it together. High recommend an electric screw driver for these types of things. They come with white plastic feet that are nailed into the bottom of the legs and as mine are on hardwood, they slide a bunch, so I just took those off with the claw end of a hammer and tapped the staples down to avoid scratches.
