The light came quickly, but the driver left the box far from my house down a long driveway, right in the middle of a rain storm. I told Wayfair and they immediately sent a replacement, which is great customer service. The new light arrived quickly and looks great over my kitchen island. My reason for a four star rating instead of five is that I can’t figure out how to enable the light for my smart house system. There is a remote control which I find obnoxious to deal with—I think I need to change the switch, which might solve the issue. We received our Perigold light in four days so shipping was awesome. It came very well packaged, and it was very straightforward on how to install it. We installed it on a beam so it was a little harder because we didn’t have an actual light box which would’ve made it a super easy installation. It has wonderful light. It’s over our dining table and it will be perfect on high beam to play games or do whatever you want to do so that you can see very well and then it dims down to a really nice softlight. One review mentions it did not have enough light for a galley kitchen and I believe that would be true if it was your only source of light, but it is awesome over a kitchen table where you have other lighting around it. It is very heavy duty and the electrical wire has no problem getting nice and straight once the light is hung. Also we used it with a Lutron dimmer and that went flawlessly, there is no flickering or noise. We are so very pleased with this light. Thank you Perigold for such great service and product.. Cindy. I rounded the corners on the rectangular to try to give a similar look as they are next to one another in my kitchen. The design is absolutely beautiful and feels very unique — there’s honestly not much else like it on the market. I’m docking one star because it arrived with a crack in one of the wooden brackets connecting to the shade. I have the brushed nickel light fitting and it’s far superior to the one it replaces. I only have one issue with it, and that’s the black electrical cords seem a little stark against the silver of the light shades. The cord on my old pendant lights was silver and was less noticeable. The fitting gives off a good light over our island. I love that the bulbs screw in which is way better than the push in ones that the old fitting had. The fitting comes with no bulbs.. Deborah.
