Overall, this bedframe has been worth every penny. I purchased this bed frame on Black Friday two years ago and this thing still feels brand new. My two dogs and kids jump all over the bed and wrestle daily on it. This frame holds up due to the metal supports underneath, not just wooden slabs holding up the mattress like other bed frames. Also, there are buttons on the headboard to toggle onoff the led lights (view photo). I saw another reviewer saying they didn’t exist but they absolutely do. My only complaint is the red material scratches pretty easily. You can see that in the side-table photo. Otherwise, it’s a very sturdy and easy-to-build bed frame. The bed is really pretty, sturdy, solid wood, but it’s a few things that prevent me from giving 5 stars. No instructions, took some time to find them online. The headfootboardsside rails don’t perfectly line up, which bothers the perfectionist in me. Not enough screws included to screw in both sides of each slat, had to do every other. One of my favorite features is the storage drawer underneath the bed. The drawer has wheels, so it slides in and out very easily, and it’s perfect for storing extra blankets, pillows, clothes, or other things that I don’t want sitting around the room. I also really like the thoughtful design of the slats. There is Velcro along the slat area that helps keep everything securely in place, so the slats don’t move around easily when the bed is being used. It’s a small detail, but it makes a big difference. One annoying thing was that the clear plastic protector that wrapped the headboard roots itself behind where the led lights are, so pulling it totally out is a pain.
