If your primary modern decor colors are gray, bright, white, and black and you want a dramatic and complementary color I would recommend this rug. I found after experimenting with different colored throws pillows and decor items that deep red and Merlot go beautifully with grays, bright white, and blacks. The only negative aspect of this rug was that it was folded tightly on one and instead of rolled hence, I had to turn the rug over and place weights on it and give it a few days to flatten out. I might not use this rug all year as deep redmerlot is more of a fall and winter decor color but for six months of the year, it will be beautiful. This rug just makes my balcony pop with color - it’s so easy to put down and really keeps the general outdoor dirt from being so obvious without also looking dirty. It’s sturdy and thick too, giving it a comfortable feel while also not feeling like it’ll fall apart. Update I would suggest not buying this rug. It is NOT as described. I normally dont post reviews but thought that I would due to how happy that I am with this purchase. This rug exceeded my expectations due to the thickness, quality and color of the rug. The pictures dont do it justice but this rug is very thick and high quality. The brown and grey colors really pop and there is a touch of blue that adds to the rug.
