Color is pretty dark vs the pictures that make it look lighter i would almost say it’s a dark mahogany but it looks great. The fabric material on headboard feels like nice quality. We were moving, so although this bed came with white glove delivery, we were unable to have them set it up before as it needed to be moved to a new house. Because of that we had to build it ourselves. Unfortunately, a couple pieces of the hardware were not delivered with the bed, including 24 feet of the bed, but it was an easy enough fix to go get them from a hardware store. I shopped around a long time and decided to go for it with this king sized bed. The good is that the head board doesn't swing back and forth, with some beds you have that. The colors are nice but I will say that I thought the frame was more brown, it's actually a brownish gray with a thin black boarder underneath that which is recessed. What did surprise me is that the frame is an engineered wood which as we know doesn't have the same appeal as a wood frame. There was a small snag on the head board but it's all fine. The bed is really pretty, sturdy, solid wood, but it’s a few things that prevent me from giving 5 stars. No instructions, took some time to find them online. The headfootboardsside rails don’t perfectly line up, which bothers the perfectionist in me. Not enough screws included to screw in both sides of each slat, had to do every other. Does not picture well because the dark walls come off really really dark, but it is really beautiful in the room. Great quality, and easy to put together.
