Very easy to put to together. It is a very sturdy bedframe for the price. The “espresso” color is fairly accurate in person vs what you see online in the pictures. The only reason we give this bedframe 4 stars is because one of the posts came damaged as seen in the second picture. Additionally, instructions were pretty straightforward. There was one moment where it isn’t straightforward, as it doesn’t mention there is not a pre drilled hole for a screw for the middle portion of the frame. The bed frame has been pretty sturdy since we put it together, and had no issues putting our premium king sized mattress on it. Wayfair furniture can be hit or miss, but this is a nice headboard and frame. I chose the dark walnut color and there's no red or yellow tint to it. It's not rustic/raw wood -- there's a finish but it's not high gloss. The design feels well thought out and everything fits together well. Horizontal wood slats are held in place by strong Velcro, which makes it easy to position your mattress. The assembly diagrams made sense and with the help of two yoga blocks for leveling/stability, I didn't need a second person to assist with putting the piece together. (For reference, I definitely had a Wayfair assembler construct my six-drawer dresser -- best money ever spent -- but as a 69-year old woman, I felt comfortable doing this job on my own.). Sabrina. Love this bed! It was super easy to assemble. The side rails had hooks that slid into the head and foot boards, versus some cheaper quality beds that just use cam locks. Love that! We’ve actually purchased this bed frame twice this year! We first bought the queen size for ourselves and were very happy with it. A couple of months later, we decided to upgrade to a king-size bed, so we gave the queen frame to our son and purchased the exact same bed frame again in king size. We love the quality. It’s made from solid wood, feels sturdy and well-made. It works with our new 16-inch-high mattress and adjustable base, although the headboard does look a little short with such a tall mattress and base. There isn't much we don't love about this new bed, but since you've asked: The three middle bed supports/legs under the bed are all black which wouldn't bad if you couldn't see them. However, the one at the end of the bed is visible from almost any position around and away from the bed and detracts significantly from the beautiful look of the bed and its solid wood construction. And it stands to reason that a bed that cost @$3,000 should be not only functionally perfect, but optically in every way. We are also waiting to hear from Wayfair regarding reported damage to the bed, but are hopeful that we will have the damaged part(s) replaced, delivered and installed very soon.. Laurel.
