This fan is so quiet, you wouldn’t know it was running- if not for the wind! It is a true 6 speed fan, not just 3 speeds in two directions, which I’ve seen advertised in other fans. I needed a fan for my loft that would help circulate the air for efficiency in heating and cooling. But, I don't really like the look of most ceiling fans and didn't need to have lights in it. So, I ordered this with reservations because it is so expensive. However, it really looks nice, is well balanced so it doesn't wobble one bit, and it is absolutely silent when it's on. My electrician said it's very good quality, was straight forward to install, and has a good motor. This is a beautiful fan. I was surprised to see it is plastic. It is not white I would say more an off white. It is plenty large- which is good for my large room. The fan shakes when turned all the way up. I called customer service and they offered to have a new one sent. But that wouldve meant paying my electrician more to take it down and put up another one.
