I hadnt realized until after installed, is get a size that will fit inside rather than aboveoutside of the window frame just as you would if getting basic blinds. If installed aboveoutside of window frame they leave about an inch of space, lessening its blackout design and also giving less privacy. Theyre actually a really good product for any room in your home. Instead of dealing with old fashion blinds and curtains, these are the best of both in one, easy to install and use product. Not bad! Looks just like the photo in the description. Measured 100 times before I ordered. There is more of a gap towards the bottom right than top. At the top, both sides start at about 34” gap. At the bottom, the right gap ends up being about 1 ¼” and the left about ½”. Mounting was easy as I had slatted blinds, so I just popped those off and replaced the brackets for the new ones - a quick Google search and YouTube video helped. Took about 30 minutes by myself..
