These goblets are elegant and perfect for everyday use. The elaborate regal crest embossed in the glass provides a beautiful way to serve dessert wine, port, aperitifs or your favorite liqueur. Made in France, the pieces are fired at very high temperatures producing an exceptional quality glass that is crystal clear sturdy and durable. A pressure seam is sometimes visible, which is the mark left by opening the mold in which the glass is pressed. It is a characteristic of traditional pressed machine glass.

These French pressed glass goblets are elegant and sturdy enough for everyday use. The pressed pattern is two sided: a flower- embellished heart on one side, flowers and vines on the other. The side seams are unobtrusive, and part of the charm of this type of glass. The goblet is large enough to hold a generous pour. They go through the dishwasher well. The set of six glasses are packed in LaRochere boxes with cardboard dividers. That box was shipped in a larger well-cushioned crate. One of my goblets arrived with a crack in it. The Mikasa French Countryside flatware set is a quaint design, versatile enough to coordinate with multiple decorating styles. It has a highly polished finish which I plan to hand wash and dry most of the time, although Im sure it would hold up well in the dishwasher. The weight and balance is good, but I find it slightly more cumbersome to use than another set I have. In my pictures I show another older European sized set that is slightly larger, and a vintage set that I consider human sized, along with the Mikasa set in the center. The entire Grace set of glasses is defected. There is a very apparent marking where the stem meets the base on every single glass, and Mikasa states that this is not a manufacturer defect as this is the marking of where the glass gets cut. In addition, some of the glasses also have bubbles on them. Mikasa says this is a not a manufacturer defect and will not replace the glasses for you. Nice size and shape for more than just Belgian beer! I've been using them for iced tea, wine, and soft drinks (they're the perfect size for a 12-oz can plus ice). I have almost the complete set of this Mikasa Cheers line (I think all I'm missing are the martini glasses), and I use them often. The glasses are gorgeous but THIN and wayfair is abysmal at shipping so be warned you will receive broken glasses. First shipment 70 broken (one so much it was literally just dust and one shard of base). Wayfair did do a good job of quickly sending a new package free of charge (as they should) but again the packaging was so atrocious (literally just put the glassware box inside of another slightly larger box with one tiny piece of thin kraft paper) so I had more broken glassware!
