Nice bowls, but slightly different than the original French Countryside China. The design is the same, it’s just the detailed crevices aren’t as deep as the originals. Looks authentic, but it also looks like Mikasa might have changed the design slightly. Note: Wayfair did a terrible job packaging these bowls and over 3/4 of them were shattered inside the delivery box. The Mikasa French Countryside flatware set is a quaint design, versatile enough to coordinate with multiple decorating styles. It has a highly polished finish which I plan to hand wash and dry most of the time, although Im sure it would hold up well in the dishwasher. The weight and balance is good, but I find it slightly more cumbersome to use than another set I have. In my pictures I show another older European sized set that is slightly larger, and a vintage set that I consider human sized, along with the Mikasa set in the center.
