We replaced an older unit with the new Waykar 120 pint dehumidifer. This unit is smaller and lighter than the model it replaced while still removing moisture at a higher rate. It's also a lot quieter than our older unit. Very easy to understand and operate the control panel. Had it set up in less than 5 minutes. Initial 2 hour run at low speed dropped the humidity in our basement from 65% to 54%. Have it set up to gravity drain into a sump, so we don't need to worry about emptying the bucket. Great product so far. And aesthetically, the most minimal and elegant dehumidifier I could find. Took about 24 hours to dehumidify our piano room and get it to the humidity level I set it to (from 55% to 45%). It's not the most quiet appliance, but it is very effective and isn't in our main living space, so it's perfect for us. So far the manual setting works pretty well. I set it to 45% and it automatically turns on and off to keep the humidity level around there. I have a hygrometer near the piano that tracks humidity level and it's staying very steady since getting this dehumidifier. I'm also I glad I got the one with wi-fi connection. You can control everything through the app– turn the dehumidifier on/off; change the modes between Auto, "Dry" (the manual mode), Quiet, Fan, and Continuous; and fan speed. Very quiet compared to most brands I’ve had. I do think it could be a littler cooler on max but it will eventually cooldown the room and maintain good temp after.
