I was SHOCKED to see its gorgeous quality and that it is identical to the more expensive one. The color I got says "natural" but as you can see in my photos it is not that; instead it is a beautiful brownish gray, much dressier than a natural finish. The size is identical to the more expensive one, and the construction is substantial, sturdy and very high quality. The cane seating is thick and sturdy. I bought this bench because I thought I needed somewhere to sit and put on my shoes. What I apparently needed was a whole new personality. This bench instantly made my entryway look like I hired an interior designer who charges way more than I’m willing to admit. The wood has that beautiful, rustic, perfectly imperfect texture that makes it look like it has a story—even though I ordered it from my couch while wearing pajamas. It’s sturdy, beautiful, and the perfect size. I added a pillow and throw, and suddenly my entryway is giving “cozy European farmhouse” instead of “please ignore the pile of shoes by the door.” My only complaint is that now I want to redecorate the entire house around the bench. 1010 would absolutely buy again.
