So… I got the more expensive “gold leg” and wood version and I’d say don’t do it. As you can see in photo the gold foot arent metal pieces they are just painted on and the lines aren’t even straight… looks spray-painted, not worth an extra 30 dollars for that- just get plain wood version… the lamp itself I’m happy with it’s pretty sturdy and looks good in our mid century modern style room. I love the styling of this lamp, and so I gave it five stars. But there were a couple of issues I found there was a dent on the base as though somebody had dropped something pointed on it, and the wood had some imperfections. I know full well that I could’ve sent it back and Wayfair would have replaced the lamp they are very good about that sort of thing. But the issues weren’t so bad that I decided not to keep the lamp.
