Emphasizing the thick cushioned seat is a bit misleading. The seat does look like it’s 6” thick, but important to note that its hollow underneath - the actual padding on the seat is no more than 1.5 to 2 inches. Not terribly comfortable, but it looks nice and fits our space just fine. It went together fairly easily by my husband who is quite handy - I would not have been able to do it myself as there were MANY parts to deal with. This mid century style chair is just okay. It does sit rather low and the seat cushion slides all over so we're constantly have to lift the back cushions to push it back in. The arms are quite low as well which makes sitting with your elbows on them awkward. The color we choose is orange and it matched our decor relatively well.
