The cushions are not smooth but I could have done a more meticulous job of pushing the inserts inside the cover. The instructions were not easy to follow at all. We have the same exact couch in a grey but I don’t remember it being this hard to set up. The couch is solid though and we must have liked it for us to get 2 of it! This one is in our family room and it has a beautiful royal blue color to it. If you are looking for a less bulky set that is still long and has room, this should do it. It does not look cheap. But I will say this - from knowledge of the other grey one we have, the fabric starts to have piles on it after a short time and this happens with age and from rubbing (sitting) upon it. I am now seeing that there might be ways to remove piling from furniture. Amazing. I was so worried that this couch wouldnt be deep enough or high enough. But its perfect. With a 58 and 62 sitting on the couch it was very comfortable. Can easily sit 3 adults. Comfortably sit two adults and two children. The couch is more on the firm side but comfortable. Definitely meant for sitting and not sleeping although I have fallen asleep on it a couple times.. This little sofa is so cute! It came in one box and well packaged. It was quite the assembly and took about 4 hours in total with one person. It is well made and very comfortable. However it is more along the lines of a futon in my opinion with the way it is made with wooden slates and metal frame. It’s perfect for end of bed or very small area or even a child’s room. It is in front of a California king bed in my photos for reference. It is true gray color. The instructions could been better. Was a bit hard to look at the tiny photos.. Emily. Springfield, IL.
