Lovely piece of furniture. It really matches well if you’re going for an MCM design aesthetic. It feels like a sturdy piece of furniture. The coloring of the wood is consistent throughout. I don’t recall if this was mentioned in the product description or not but the door slides horizontally, a groove track rather than being a traditional “pull open” door. I was able to put it together on my own under two hours. One issue that I did have was actually with the hardware. The piece and the instructions labeled “BB” is very hard to get in place and brakes very easily. It is meant to lock screws, however, if the screws are slightly angled or there happens to be splinters of wood in the holes, then this screw will not function properly. The rods that are included were also too small for the holes, which was a pain when trying to line up and put together pieces of the furniture. Something is also slightly off with the sizing or alignment of some of the pieces possibly because of the depths of the screws or the locking screw breaking, but there is a slight gap between front face piece and the top of the TV stand. We were looking for a Mid-Century Modern credenza to serve as a music cabinet and additional storage for an open space we had in our open livingdiningkitchen space. The goal was that it be at least 30” high and 66” or longer and it had to be deep enough to host an integrated stereo receiver and a turntable on top. After looking at multiple options at many online retailers, we just took a leap of faith and ordered this knowing Wayfair would stand behind our purchase if we weren’t happy. It was estimated arrival sometime between end of August and October but it arrived early, being delivered on Aug 23. The drivers brought it in, unboxed it, assembled it (legs), and placed it where we asked without question. We are very happy with the piece and even more so seeing the dovetailed drawer faces, soft close drawers and doors, and overall aesthetic with the pronounced wood grain and solid construction. Love the look .... however, once assembled (which took the skill set of my husband) we realized that if we wanted to place shelves inside, we would need to be creative as the holes that are drilled for the shelf pegs were not at all consistant. 6 holes in the back and 4 in the front... not in line with each other??? There was no way we could put a shelf in this unit. I reached out to customer service and they were wonderful. I have decided that ordering furniture on line holds some risk.
