There is a vent on the floor in my entry and because of the wood slats in the shelves I was able to set it over the vent without blocking the airflow. The bench is not very wide, so it doesn’t stick out into my entry, but it’s wide enough to sit on and bend over to put on shoes. My husband has large feet and his shoes. Don’t stick out from the shelves. (Although one shoe in the photo is not pushed all the way in, so it appears to stick out) I was so surprised to realize how well the fabric matches my walls! Beautiful bench! It fits right into my corridor. The bench is a little smaller than I expected but it’s a great addition to my home. The color looks like the picture and only took about 30 mins to build. Very sturdy! Had three adults sit on it for a weight check and didn’t seem to bend or feel like any of made slightly damage.
