Absolutely love it. So much nicer than I was expecting. Heavy duty, does not look or feel cheap. Took a couple hours to put together, but I completely glossed over the part of the instructions when it said to only screw some of the screws in by 80%. Make sure to follow that part - you need to be able to have a little give in order to get some of the other pieces into place correctly. That also had a minor paint issue and the hinges to extend the table did not work 100 I eventually worked out a compromise with wayfair because I was not confident a 3rd table wouldnt also be damaged and I was really attached to the length of the table because I have a large dining area. This table is better in person than the pictures show. I think the packaging was sufficient to protect the table during shipping, and nothing was damaged. One thing to be careful of is the finish of this table. I'm not sure exactly what it is, but it is very easy to scuff, although the scuff will only be visible if you look from a certain angle. Basically, use hotplates, place mats, table runners for dishes, and do not slide anything across the table. The wood itself is very hard, the finish is what seems fragile, so I wish it was a bit more durable. Fits our home perfectly! Oak wood was used on our top with nicely matching Oak grain. The finish is a caramellight brown where you can still feel the texture of the wood — but still a hard finish. We comfortably fit 6 chairs around our table, so it can be very flexible in terms of the number of people it can accommodate. Once we removed them from the two very protective shipping boxes, assembly took about half an hour using a battery powered drill fitted with a screw driver and a 4mm Allen wrench bit. While 1 person can assemble it, I’d recommend having a 2nd person available during assembly took help tip the table back upright without damaging it.
