First thing to know is that this table is very heavy and substantial. Once it’s assembled it feels sturdy and solid, not flimsy at all. The pedestal base has a nice architectural V-style design that gives it a modern vintage feel and makes it look more expensive than it is. Assembly took several hours and it definitely wasn’t quick. There are a lot of parts and steps, so I’d recommend patience or having someone help. Once everything is together though, the table feels strong and stable. It comfortably seats 4 people and can stretch to 6 when square, which makes it nice for small dining areas that occasionally need more seating. My main reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the seams and visible holes in the center of the tabletop design. Because of the way the panels connect, there are seams and small holes in the middle that are noticeable. It pretty much requires putting a centerpiece, tray, or decor in the middle to hide it.
