I love this table. I use it in my dining room. It has small gaps nbetween the slats. I was afraid this might cause problems with drinks spilling but it hasn't. Fits our home perfectly! Oak wood was used on our top with nicely matching Oak grain. The finish is a caramellight brown where you can still feel the texture of the wood — but still a hard finish. We comfortably fit 6 chairs around our table, so it can be very flexible in terms of the number of people it can accommodate. Once we removed them from the two very protective shipping boxes, assembly took about half an hour using a battery powered drill fitted with a screw driver and a 4mm Allen wrench bit. While 1 person can assemble it, I’d recommend having a 2nd person available during assembly took help tip the table back upright without damaging it.
