The bed is really pretty, sturdy, solid wood, but it’s a few things that prevent me from giving 5 stars. No instructions, took some time to find them online. The headfootboardsside rails don’t perfectly line up, which bothers the perfectionist in me. Not enough screws included to screw in both sides of each slat, had to do every other. However, if you arent very familiar with furniture assembly instructions, you may struggle a little as none of the pieces were labeled with the numbers used in the instructions. We’ve actually purchased this bed frame twice this year! We first bought the queen size for ourselves and were very happy with it. A couple of months later, we decided to upgrade to a king-size bed, so we gave the queen frame to our son and purchased the exact same bed frame again in king size. We love the quality. It’s made from solid wood, feels sturdy and well-made. It works with our new 16-inch-high mattress and adjustable base, although the headboard does look a little short with such a tall mattress and base. We are pretty happy with the platform bed. Very protected in the box. The instructions were only pics, which was easy to understand. The bed took a bit to put together, but was overall straightforward with its directions. The materials are nice and it looks beautiful when finished. I love this bed. It shipped very fast, arrived in about 5 days. I was nervous because there weren’t any reviews but turned out great. All pieces were free of damage or cracks. I’m really pleased with the quality. It feels VERY solid. No creaks or noises anywhere. Everything fit together perfectly and the instructions were clear. My one and only con is with the panels, the silver bolts kinda stand out and the sticker that it comes with to cover them, doesn’t match the color of the wood- Brown sharpie should do the trick.
