Was looking for a basic, attractive platform bed for a new king size mattress we purchased. This fit the bill perfectly. Pretty straightforward to assemble, though I did use my cordless driver with a hex bit to speed things up. But the included allen wrench worked fine. Pay attention to where the washers go so you don't have to reassemble things more than once! It is solid wood, very sturdy. My one and only con is with the panels, the silver bolts kinda stand out and the sticker that it comes with to cover them, doesn’t match the color of the wood- Brown sharpie should do the trick. The bed is really pretty, sturdy, solid wood, but it’s a few things that prevent me from giving 5 stars. No instructions, took some time to find them online. The headfootboardsside rails don’t perfectly line up, which bothers the perfectionist in me. Not enough screws included to screw in both sides of each slat, had to do every other. The bed took a bit to put together, but was overall straightforward with its directions. The materials are nice and it looks beautiful when finished.
