I saw a lot of mixed reviews mentioning misaligned drawers and bad pre-drilled holes, but that wasnt my experience at all. While assembly was definitely time-consuming and tedious, it was pretty straightforward, and everything aligned perfectly for me. The kit does come with a Phillips head screwdriver, but like most pre-packed furniture tools, the handle isnt very comfortable. If you dont have a nicer screwdriver already, Id recommend getting one because your hand will hurt after driving so many screws. I used a cordless screwdriver, which made driving screws into the areas without pre-drilled holes a lot easier, though you could definitely manage without one. The color and dimensions are 100 accurate to the product description online. However, as other reviews have noted, the drawers are on the shallow side. More importantly, the drawer slides are set up so the drawers do not pull out all the way. There is a good 4 to 5 inches per drawer that stays inside the unit when fully opened. I think this is probably a safety feature to prevent tipping, and for my needs—storing clothing like sweatshirts and sweatpants—it really doesnt matter. That said, I would not recommend this unit if you want to store something like craft supplies, as reaching smaller items out of the back of the drawers would get annoying. The drawers do feel a little bit flimsy and loose when pulling them in and out, which is where its most obvious that this is a flat-pack piece of furniture. However, I was able to fit them together easily, they are perfectly aligned, and they stay on their tracks without any issues. It had 1,000 pieces and 1,000 steps to put it together, but it was pretty easy - just time consuming. It’s quite sturdy feeling and looks great. My only complaint is that the locking mechanism that keeps only one drawer open at a time is kind of loud and clanky. This 3 Drawer Mid-Century Modern Dresser is a nice eclectic addition to my guest room. The dresser is solid wood, and comes partly assembled (the drawer slides are already in place on the drawer and side pieces), making assembly go that much quicker. It did take my husband and myself about an hour and fifteen minutes to assemble this. We did use an electric drill/screwdriver for some of the steps, but you can assemble just using a screwdriver and a bit of muscle. One of the legs for the dresser did have a big scratch in it, but we just faced that part towards the inside/back so it does not show. The drawers go in a bit hard at first, but after they are in the slides and are opened/closed a few times, they go in smoothly. Overall, this is a solid piece of furniture and should hold up well for a long time. I am contemplating purchasing two more of these to use as bedside tables in my primary bedroom.. Kimi.
