easy to put together. like many of the other reviews state, there is a little gap in the wood pieces. while it was very obvious when we were putting it together, I do not notice it now that it’s together and in use. we bought two chairs and one of them was quite uneven so we had to use several felt pads to level out chair. the other chair did not have this problem. overall, for the price, I am pleased.. The seat does look like it’s 6” thick, but important to note that its hollow underneath - the actual padding on the seat is no more than 1.5 to 2 inches. Not terribly comfortable, but it looks nice and fits our space just fine. It went together fairly easily by my husband who is quite handy - I would not have been able to do it myself as there were MANY parts to deal with. The chair is lovely. But it is miss-advertised. I ordered a recliner. It does not recline. It’s supposed to be bigger than the cheaper version but if it’s any bigger, it’s only a half an inch to an inch bigger. Since I got it on a sale, it didn’t cost as much as the full price.
