I ordered this a few months ago along with one other, but just different colors. The 1st 2 that were shipped to me were in pieces when I got it. So today I was pleasantly surprised when the 3rd one shipped completely in tacked. When I compared this one to two others I have, discovered that the ceramic is very thin compared to the others. This is probably the reason these broke during shipping. Wayfair was great during this process. Shipping the broken ones back was not very convenient, I thought a picture showing the planter was broken would have been enough. The traditional ways of making pottery start with they clay that is cast into the handmade molds. Once dried, the mold is removed and the first kiln firing takes place. After the first firing, an artist paints the piece. It is then glazed and fired for a last time. These are unique, beautiful and very functional. Product Features Authentic Mexican Pottery.
