File cabinet is a nice piece of furniture but it was a beast to assemble. It took me six hours to assemble it; two of the six hours could have been avoided if I have secured the cabinet to the wall. After assembling the cabinet and placing the folders it was really wobbly, so I decided to secure the cabinet to the wall. The dark purple is a great color - file cabinets are fine for the price point. One of the two I ordered has a sizable dent on one corner. It it was to be in a corner or not viewable from two sides, I would be ok with it. However, it is being used to support wood for a desk in a brand new church office and plain to see. Took 24 minutes to build and was very easy to put together. Scan the code and watch the video much easier then looking at the pictures. The photo showed a height of 24.8" its actually 25.2" which made it not fit under my desk but the specifications shows 26" so should've read that. I’ve had this small white three-drawer file cabinet for about two years now, and I’m really happy with how well it has held up. It’s still in great condition and looks just as nice as it did when I first got it. The size is perfect for keeping things organized without taking up too much space, and the three drawers hold a surprising amount of items. I’ve used it to store a variety of things, and it has been very useful for keeping everything neat and easy to find. The white color is simple and clean, so it fits nicely with my other furniture and doesn’t look bulky or out of place. The only issue I’ve experienced is that the drawers can be a little difficult to open when they’re filled pretty full. It’s not a major problem, and I’ve found that they work better when they aren’t overloaded. Other than that, I really haven’t had any complaints. After two years of regular use, I’m impressed with the quality and durability. It has held up very well, provides plenty of storage, and still looks great. If I could give 0 stars I would. Several of the pieces were bent making assembly challenging. The instructions left a significant amount of guesswork. The paint chipped easily. The lock doesn’t function properly. Since it would be a hassle to return and I don’t intend to use the lock and it will be in the garage where the chipped paint won’t matter, I’m keeping it but please save yourself the trouble and don’t get this file cabinet.. Works for me: Upside: The dark charcoal/grey color is really nice; they hold files just fine; if I had to... I think they [I got two] would hold a light table top. Downside: the top drawer is raw metal and ribbed. It would be nice if the two file drawers locked instead of the little top drawer and the file drawer below it (but I knew that when I ordered it). If you just want the color black I saw what looked to be the same at the big "w" mart store for about $50 (2/3/20). This cabinet has to be fully assembled when it arrives. My husband and I assembled it for my mother. The instructions could be kind of vague at times which made putting it together a little tricky. Once it's built it's pretty solid/sturdy. However the lock doesn't work, once you lock it, it won't unlock. The key turns as if it unlocked but it doesn't actually drop the bar all the way to drop the pins back down. But we figured out the lock is useless for actual security because you just need to pull the middle drawer to the side enough to see the pin and then use a knife to push it down the rest of the way. It's a good value. There were two of us putting it together and it took 1-1/2 hours to assemble it. The instructions could be clearer. If you stop and look at the picture at the back of the instruction booklet, it's easier to figure out what's what. All the screws, pieces, screwdriver and gloves were included. There was a small problem with a bowed side panel which caused both drawers on that side to not be flush when closed but it's not that obvious and still locks fine. The finish is nice.
