We had purchased the same porch swing stand 10 years ago and it held up really well in our harsh Florida weather (we had stained it for weather proofing, so that was a big factor for it doing so well). It was time to purchase a new one because the old one was starting to rot in certain places. I did not hesitate to repurchase the same stand. This time I wanted to stain it white to match our swing. The instructions could use a little more detail to help with the assembly, but we figured it out. To assemble the stand, you need a drill, a mallet, and a socket wrench or wrench. The manufacturer provides you with a Robertson drill bit for the 3” screws. We needed 3 people to start the first installation step. 2 people were needed to assemble the rest of it.
