This loft bed was exactly what we were looking for. My husband put it together in 3 hours; pretty simple instructions. One thing I wanted to note!: This bed can be built with the stairs on EITHER SIDE. We were so confused looking at the photos trying to figure out which side the stairs were on, but it comes with two sets of instructions, one for each side, so that worked out perfectly. We added some support to the wall because it does shake a bit if you're up on the bed. You do need to get a 6 inch mattress or else the safety bars won't reach above the mattress. The staircase going up to the bed is wonderful and provides more safety than a traditional ladder type bed. The lights are a fun addition to the bed providing a nice glow around the bed. The only complaint I think we had when putting together is the screws labeled D were too short for some of the parts they instructed us to use them for so we used the longer one of the same size (Screw A) and it worked out. Very pleased with this bed! We love this bed! It has everything my son wanted and needed. The only downside (which might just come with the design) is that the metal slide can be quite loud—similar to metal slides at a playground. When there are small bumps or bends in the slide, it makes a noticeable noise as you go down.
