This is likely not what many people are using this skate for, but were doing it to help socialize our wonderful new dog with my two cats, one of them is not very dog savvy. When we tried to do this with a normal baby gate, she kept trying to launch herself over it so of course, he wanted to chase her. This was the most affordable option that I could find for something floor to ceiling that would allow them to become more familiar without the potential danger that an unexpected interaction could have caused. I like this and I am small enough fit through the gate, but my elderly father has trouble with it and his caregiver has trouble fitting through it and opening and closing it. My dog is 15 pounds and can’t get out of it, so that is the best part. Perhaps my Dad’s caregiver will figure out how to open and close it. This might honestly be one of my favorites yet. A few things that make it stand out Super easy to install My husband had it up and ready to go in no time. Auto-close feature It closes on its own perfectly, which is a massive lifesaver when youre busy or rushing through. Fantastic value It feels incredibly solid and well-made, especially given the price point. For comparison, our other gate (which weve had for a long time and still use for our puppy elsewhere) was easily 2 to 3 times more expensive than this one, yet it doesnt even have an auto-close feature.
