I bought these to help reduce the wind that we get on our deck. We have them attached to the railings. Last year we had to chase our furniture a few times during our wind storms but not this year. They worked very well as a wind break. They definitely had to be secured well to keep them in place. They look very nice and add to the look of our deck instead of taking away. We bought three of these to create some privacy from our neighbors at an awkward angle near our fence. They’re very pretty and do a great job of creating some privacy without being too harsh. Assembly wasn’t complicated, but it was tedious and a bit frustrating. You need to screw multiple nuts into bolts in very tight spaces and the parts are not machined well, so they don’t fit easily. Also, the tools they provide are nearly useless. After assembling the third one, my fingers were like raw hamburger. I recommend investing in a ratchet tool if you’re purchasing multiple screens. As others have said, they’re sturdy but aren’t going to sustain any significant wind. We installed them in soft ground with the included stakes but we will need to reinforce them as they’ll quickly lean. The flower design creates sharp edges that poke out and can easily hurt you. I really love them. I bought two panels and they came very well packaged. The instructions are clear and easy and say to use two people to put them together but I'm a 60 year old woman and put them together myself. It might have been a little easier with two just for balancing the panels on top of each other but once you get the first one or two screws in its easy. I sat them on my patio and weighted them down with patio pavers and flower pots and did the same on the back side with smaller bricks. This patio privacy screen seemed to instantly elevate our deck by creating more of a barrier between our deck and our neighbors, on one side.
