It is as expected but was difficult for this 76 year old to assemble. More written instructions might have helped. The first 'crosshatch' took forever to figure out. Not everything arrived in perfect condition but I was pleasantly surprised by how easy the assembly process was. The only minor downside for me is the wood pattern and color. I wish there had been more variety to choose from, as only one option was available, and it wasnt my first choice.
