The bookcase is well made for the price point and went together very well, even though it took me 1.5-2 hours as I carefully read the well-written instructions at each step. It was actually enjoyable to assemble. It’s not real wood, of course, but it doesn’t look flimsy or low-grade. The anti-tip brackets work well for attaching to the wall. This bookshelf is sturdy and well made. It does not look cheap. I am a 70 year old “senior” and I was able to assemble it on my own. The shipping box was perfectly packed. The setup was simple and didn’t take long at all. I love the little hammer that came with it. The unit is sturdy overall, once everything is completely snapped together correctly. However, the cubes are not 12.4” each. They are 11.5” each. Plus, the connectors take up a lot of space which makes the opening of each cube only 10”. That means the drawers I bought to go inside them don’t fit at all.
