The frame is very sturdy, and leaves ample room under the bed for storage. I bought this because I really liked the simple design but I should have paid more attention to the dimensions instead of looking at the picture. They have to be using lumbar pillows in this picture because the frame is only 37 inches (a yard stick 1 inch) from the ground. That’s including the legs and “ample room for storage”. I have large decorative pillows that completely cover the frame. Even regular bed pillows will cover a frame if they’re leaned against it. We purchased this in two sizes. They have performed different, so I am going to review each independent from each other. This purchase was for a king bed. It went together relatively easily, and I did it by myself. It probabaly took less than two hours. The metal is sturdy, the pieces went together well (some of the screws are tight and I needed a few breaks between - but that’s a good thing!). It has been used for over two years now and has held up great! No scratches, little to no squeaking, no slats falling outloosening, etc. I am happy with the quality and price point.
