The frame using these glides has been tested with a 2000-pound load. guaranteeing the structural integrity of the part is perfectly consistent from one part to the next. If no headboard is used, the headboard brackets can be left off and the bed centered on the frame, assuring that the frame cannot bump and damage the wall. This is a keyhole/riveted design that allows the frame to be set up and locked together without the use of tools and hardware. The frame seems pretty lightweight, but the person putting it together said it's sturdy. I ordered this for a guest bedroom, so it won't be getting daily use. I like the roominess under the bed allowed by the height of the bed frame, which makes it good for storage if you're inclined. The 14" tall frame gives about 12" of space under it.
