After searching through hundreds of bed frame options and not finding anything else we liked, we decided to go with this for our new king sized bed. It was incredibly easy to put together and the instructions were better than I expected. The only issue was that the instructions referenced pieces being A, B, C, etc. but the pieces didn't have those labels, just the numbered stickers where pieces joined up. It was possible to work around that issue though! The box was heavy and the two of us could have fought it up the stairs, but we just opened the box downstairs and carried the pieces up, which was definitely the way to go. The bed frame is sturdy and doesn't make any noise. The velcro aspect of where the wooden slats sit on the metal is a great addition! We put a 14 inch mattress on it and the headboard is about the same height of the pillows (see image). We opted not to peel off the tape to use the adhesive on the mattress, it has been staying in place well without it, plus it would have made unrolling the new mattress tricky. Love the look of this bed. Took a chance bc there were no reviews. The bed delivered in about 5 days. The packing wasn’t the best, but everything was intact and undamaged inside the box. Quality is fair, not exceptional. Upholstery is only on the outside of the bed, not behind the headboard, footboard or rails. Bed is assembled with bolts that are visible on the footboard which I don’t like. The fabric is linen and on the lighter side, not yellowish or grey. Hammered features are a nice contrast to the conventional upholstered bed design. Bed can be mixed with contemporary furniture or antiquish, like I have. All in all, I’d recommend. The headboard is padded with foam and upholstered in beige polyester. This bed frame is compatible with an adjustable bed. Plus, 6.5" of under-bed clearance allows you to store plenty of off-season clothing and bedding. To complete your bed, add the box spring and mattress of your choice (both sold separately). We needed a replacement specifically to accommodate a new adjustable base, since our old bed wasn’t compatible. We absolutely loved our previous bed and hoped to find something that wouldn’t completely compromise on style, as so many adjustable base-friendly designs tend to look cookie cutter and uninspired. We took a leap of faith ordering this bed, not fully sure it would work, but it turned out to be a good match with our existing side tables and dresser. The metal isn’t super thick, but it is sturdy enough and the price point reflects this. Assembly was easy, two of us put it together without any trouble, thanks to straightforward instructions. I ordered this for an AIRBNB - I ordered it in the black and off white.
