Needed bigger table without spending alot and this is perfect! As with all my Wayfair purchases, I am very pleased. This thing is an absolute beast! You are going to need a partner, not just to carry it in, but to unpack and assemble. Give yourself plenty of floor space and time. I can't tell you how long it will take in one sitting because we worked on it over a period of several nights. It was a challenge to line things up at times, but patience and persistence paid off. The frame is metal and very sturdy. Not sure what the top is made of, but it appears to be, perhaps, some sort of a laminate. If you are tough on tabletops [like a crafter for instance] I would not recommend this. But for dining ... perfection! Last note: for some reason I thought I ordered a table with a leaf, for versatility. There is no leaf. It is one long table. But it is gorgeous, well made and will serve us well for many years.. This table is exactly what we were looking for. We love that the extra leaf folds into the table for storage. It took us approximately four hours to put together, and we have put together a lot of flat pack furniture. Everything fit as described and the instructions had very good illustrations, so if you follow them you should have no problems with assembly. All the assembly parts were well labeled and packaged.
