I am a lover of beautiful dishware but after a few sets being beautiful and broken by my husband and kids I decided to try these. They are heavy and most people can't even tell they are melamine - we were entertaining the other day and a mom asked if I had any paper plates for her kids because she didn't want them to break my beautiful plates. 5 stars! Just be careful if you are trying to expand your set buying the individual place settings won't match.. Megan D.. Wed Jul 24 2024

Really nice set, just what I was looking for. I purchased open box since I'm a bargain hound, and everything is perfect except for one issue. Apparently in pickup and delivery process, the box was roughly handled with the end result being the lovely, handled platter/tray, was in pieces. The box was a bit rough looking, but I was optimistic. So sad to hear the rattle of broken pieces when I picked up the box, and very sad that the platter didn't survive.. Judy. Vancouver, WA. Dinner is served ... in classic Bamboo style! The VIDA Bamboo 11" Dinner Plate, an essential item from Beatriz Ball's VIDA Collection of luxury melamine, is a collaboration with noted illustrator, August Wren. With a bamboo inspired rim and a brilliant white surface, the generous round dinner plate may be paired with other VIDA Bamboo dining pieces--a 9" salad plate and a 7.5" cereal bowl--for a coordinated serving set. Sold in sets of four. A table setting with a carefree, but classy, Beatriz Ball twist! The VIDA Bamboo 11" Dinner Plate Set of 4 (White and Natural) looks great when sharing a table with Bamboo items from our signature metal line. We love it with our Bamboo flatware and August Wren's "Happy Christmas" placemats, too. The plate has the luster, heft and look of a ceramic piece.
