Great bed. Make sure someone who know what they are doing assembles it. Get a thinner mattress or you will have to purchase guard rails so your kiddo doesn’t roll off. I purchased a 12” mattress. This was a big pain to install! Took about 7-8 hours with about 3 of us (we had 2 kids help us so we count them as half each because they were in and out with their "help" lol). Between making sure the bars didnt turn on you and only tightening at 70% but at the end having to find all 100 of the screws to tightening them.... it was a lot. Also I know the sides come with a warning, but please please remember the low ceilings when you have the bed frame up. Adults hits their heads 3 times each before we got the memo. Ouch! However, when all was said and done, my daughter was very happy. The bed edge makes me nervous for sleep purposes, but going to look into possibly a thinner mattress. Maybe even a bed rail of sorts. The bottom loft is very roomy. Has a lot of table space and even the drawers have a lot of room to them. I didn't realize they were cloth drawers, but they are nice and fit a lot. Great quality! The good news is I put the bed together by myself. The bad news is that working on it by myself took about 7 hours to complete. The frame is solid the stairs are great, but the instructions while detailed left a little to be desired. The diagrams were on the smaller side and it did not detail if a part had to go on a certain way. The good news is on the occasion I made an error it was easy to correct. My daughter loves this bed. Updated Review - the manufacturer reached out regarding the defects and has made a commitment to make it right. The bed itself barring the obvious damage on arrival went together okay. It was a time consuming build, and the instructions werent as clear as they could have been. I had a ticketed carpenter friend assist in the build and it still took about 4 hours. Set aside the time. I sifted through tons of reviews on different loft beds and after a couple of months of thinking on it, decided to pull the trigger on this one. I’m so glad I did! Despite being made of particle board style wood, it is actually very sturdy. There are tons of screws and lots of support for each piece. I put it together myself and it took several hours over the course of 3 days. The instructions were pretty clear for the most part. The only thing I don’t like is how close to the ceiling it is, however that’s my fault for not measuring. If I had taller ceilings it would be perfect! I am 5’3” and can stand underneath with my head only slightly tilted downward, so there is a good amount of space underneath. My 8-year-old son absolutely loves it. If your child is on the cusp of a growth spurt and you have average-height ceilings then I would maybe not get this one because of how tall it is. But otherwise I would highly recommend it!. Tori. This is really an awesome loft bed setup with stairs that are super helpful for getting up and down. Great size for a big kid or teen, love the desk setup underneath and the built-in storage options. Only complaint is that having higher sides would be a better design option than the current height as most mattresses are thick enough that their height negates the safety aspect of the side rails.. When you receive the boxes containing the bed parts, don’t worry! It might seem overwhelming to receive three separate boxes, making you reconsider your bed choice. However, open them all up and organize them first it’ll make life much easier. My only criticism is that I wish every part was labeled, as it could make some parts questionable about their placement.
