Edit despite being cheaply made they really do put off a nice flame like glow. For that we love them. One was broken when I opened the package. They are very cheaply made. I actually drilled holes in the wood on top of my pool fence and set them through the holes about 6 feet apart and on either side of the gateway ,instead of putting them in the ground, and it looks really cool at night.
