This light is beautiful in my breakfast nook. Obviously I need different light bulbs, but even still, it’s beautiful. I took a stat off because the instructions were a joke. They didn’t make any sense and it took my husband a good 2-3 hrs to put it together. For context, he did a similar light in another room in ~30 mins and it was the first time he had replaced a light fixture. He said the instructions didn’t make any sense at all. Just perfection, I love it. I have been looking a several different lights for our side room. I wanted something big and bold but not bulky, also something classic I would still like down the road. Found it! I would say it was a little more difficult to install than the steps made it seem. My husband knows electric and still took us about an hour. I added a larger base at the top that I got somewhere else. It goes under the base of the light to add some more dimension. I really love it so much. The price was incredible, I did lots of research on chandler’s and I still can’t believe how good the price point is (look out for a sale too) The black is a true matte black, I used 40 watt chandler bulbs as they said that’s the highest you can go and it’s nice and bright. Really a nice light fixture. Installation was straight forward even though the instructions were absolutely worthless. Some reviews stated that the installation was difficult, aI think they probably were confused by the terminal block used to connect the wiring. They were the screw-down type and really not all that common in the US. But, that's why Google is your friend! The fixture is quite light, l prefit everything first then removed the shade for the wiring- add the shade last. I was able to complete the job without any assistance. It can absolutely be a one person job. The only difficulty was with the decorative nuts for the mounting bolts; the bolts could be a little longer in my opinion. All things considered, the purchase was well worth it and installation was straight forward as long as you prefit and plan out how you are going to work before you start.. Thomas. Frederick, MD. First of all, let me say I always give my honest opinion, when writing a review. Which is why I am totally redoing this one. I was a bit harsh in my old review of this beautiful light fixture. However,it’s been installed for over two weeks, and I love it! It is beautiful! I have it in installed in my small entranceway. I thought perhaps it was going to be too small. No ma’m. !t’s perfect. I can see it while sitting in my living room, admiring its details. This fixture adds subtle WOW factor in an otherwise rather drab area. I swear, if this fixture were a fandeleir , there would be one in every bedroom, and an additional one in my closet.
